Root, Stem, Leaf

From: £30.00

On Wednesday April 8th from 10:00-11:30 am, we are pleased to present Root, Stem, Leaf which will explore tea through the lens of stewardship, intention, and craft in collaboration with tea grower Monica of Windy Hollow Farm and hosted by Hardeep of Per Se Studio. Root, Stem, and Leaf traces tea from soil to culture: examining systems of growing and supply, the know-how and cultivation that shape the leaf, and the art and practice of tea as a lived ritual. Each of the three chapters will be accompanied by a very special tea, inviting guests into a slow, thoughtful experience of tea as a living system shaped by care, knowledge, and attention.

Monica Griesbaum is an organic tea farmer from Perthshire in Scotland. She has grown tea at Windy Hollow Farm for a decade and studied tea production with Taiwanese and Korean tea masters.

Hardeep Kaur is a narrative designer; a packager-of-life-enriching ideas combining big thinking with beauty and poetry; creator of immersive experiences and host of deep conversations. Find out more about her wonderful work at her London Per Se Studio https://www.perse.london.

Timothy d’Offay is the owner of Postcard Teas. He will speak briefly on the myths of tea and what the industry at the mass production side has done to tea growers, ecosystems, and the supply chain.
