Rare Puerh Tasting
From: £75.00
Five famous teas from four decades. As Saturday August 30th is one of the rare fifth Saturdays this year we thought we would do a tasting of very special and valuable Puerh tea hosted by Louis Chang. Louis who did a wonderful tasting of Taiwanese teas earlier this year grew up and has worked in the tea industry before doing post graduate studies in Chinese Art at SOAS. He will lead us back to the 1970s to taste a legendary Yellow Mark tea before moving on to a 1980s 7542, a 1990s 8582, a 1996 Yiwu Zhen Chun Ya Hao which was one of the first boutique production Puerhs before finishing with a 2001 7542 Puerh tea. Tickets for the morning tasting which starts at 10-30 am are £75 each which is reasonable considering the auction price for cakes of these five teas would be over £30,000.
