Many of the best gyokuro teas feature use of nitrogen-heavy chemical fertilisers, which produce strong,\u201dumami bomb\u201d teas but often without much subtlety and originality.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the best gyokuros we have ever stocked: vibrant and aromatic, and finely balanced between acidity and a gentle umami, backed by both vegetal and floral flavours due to his tea&#8217;s slow growth at high altitude.
