David Earp Cosy 1

A hand stitched cotton tea cosy for keeping a teapot warm, made by David Earp for his label Antimacassar in Kolkata.

David started his career in textiles selling vintage clothes at Spitalfield Market in London before moving to Kolkata in 1998 to start shuktara, a charity for children with disabilities. His label Antimacassar was started as a way to fund skuktara, and the profits go directly back to the charity. David sources fabrics from around India, predominantly cotton from vintage sari material and reworks them into bags, cosies, clothes, bedding and cushions. Each piece is hand stitched and completely unique.
